This class is for the first-time beginner or the out-of-practice shooter and will cover how a pistol works, safe handling of pistols, firearm safety rules, how to load, store, and clean your pistol, and the fundamentals of marksmanship. This class is kid-friendly as long as they are mature enough to handle firearms under a controlled environment with the parent present. This is a 4 hour block of instruction and is broken up into 2 evenings of instruction on the Thursday and Friday evenings before each Beginner CPL class so as to provide the best instruction for those wanting both classes.
Thursday night is the classroom portion and Friday night is the range portion.

Students will need:
- Ear Protection
- Eye protection (sunglasses or prescription eyewear will work)
- A pistol, preferably a full-sized one. If you do not have one, you can rent one WITH ammunition for $20
- 50 rounds of ammunition
The for this class is $75. However, if taken with a CPL class the price is $50 for this class.
